Carry Concealed Weapon Permits

  Citizens of Osage County, Missouri who are at least 19 years of age, or 18 years of age and a member of the Armed Forces, may apply for a permit to carry a concealed weapon at the Osage County Sheriff’s Office Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (except holidays).

New CCW Procedures
You will need to bring:

  1. Your Certificate of Training
  2. CCW Permit Application
  3. Your current Missouri Drivers License or Non Driver ID showing your current Osage County address
  4. $100  (credit/debit, cash, personal check or money order)
  5. If the applicant is not an American Citizen, but is a legal resident they will need to bring their proof of residency (we will make a copy of it)


CCW Renewal
You will need to bring:

  1. CCW Permit Application 
  2. Your old CCW
  3. Your current Missouri Driver’s License or Non Driver ID to show
  4.  $45 Renewal fee.  (credit/debit, cash, personal check or money order)
  5. If your CCW has expired within 6 months there is an additional $10 late fee for each month you are late up to 6 months.

Note: If the permit is 6 months past due, it is no longer eligible for renewal. A new CCW must be applied for. This includes all fees for the new CCW.


Lost / Destroyed CCW Permits
When a person comes in to request a replacement CCW permit they will need:

  1. Your current Missouri Driver’s License or Non Driver ID to show
  2. A signed statement that their card was lost or stolen
  3.  $10 replacement fee.   (credit/debit, cash, personal check or money order)


Name / Address Change
When a person comes in to change their name or address on their CCW permit they will need:

  1. CCW Permit Application
  2. Your current Missouri Driver’s License or Non Driver ID showing their current Osage County Address
  3. A legal document showing the name change (e.g. marriage license)
  4.  $10 replacement fee  (credit/debit, cash, personal check or money order)


Restrictions

  • If you have ever had a Suspended Imposition of Sentence (SIS) on a felony you will not get a CCW.
  • If you have 2 or more Misdemeanor convictions within 5 years for DUI or a crime of violence, you will not get a CCW.
  • If you have been adjudicated as mentally ill within the past 5 years, you will not get a CCW.
  • If you have an existing exparte or order of protection, your CCW will be suspended until the exparte or order of protection is resolved.

All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Permits

Citizens of Osage County, Missouri, who are at least 18 years of age, may apply for a permit to ride an ATV on county roads within Osage County, Missouri at the Osage County Sheriff’s Office

 Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (except holidays).
